On Being a Therapist
Growing up, I always had a keen sense of social justice and felt it was important to help others.
As a therapist, I find it deeply rewarding to help my clients unearth their inherent strengths to overcome problems.
It’s inspiring to help people move from feeling stressed and discouraged to feeling confident and more optimistic about their lives.
Key Features as a Therapist
Young or old, my clients tell me that my authenticity allows them to feel comfortable with me quickly. I also have a good sense of humor which helps “lighten up” therapy sessions when working to overcome emotional pain.
My qualities and skills allow me to build a deep connection with you so you can feel safe to reveal your problems as we work to overcome them. I’m known for sharing tools with my clients that can be used outside of the therapy session to help you cope and manage anxiety.
I’m warm and empathic, [link to How I Work page] even when I might have to challenge your ways of thinking to help you grow. I care about my clients a great deal, so when I nudge you to make changes, you’ll still feel supported by me.
